The children’s needs and interests determine the daily schedule during Kinderhaus hours.

Our hours are:

 

Full days 8:30 am - 5:30 pm

AM half days 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

 

Freeplay and activities:

During free play, children choose a variety of developmentally appropriate toys and manipulatives, imaginary play, coloring and books.

Each morning we have a morning circle with singing, movement games, finger plays and stories. In addition, children are offered different and carefully planned activities , such as crafts, painting, storytime and puppetry. 

 

Meals:

• A morning snack is served at 9:30am each day.

• Lunch is served at 11:30am

• Children nap from 12:30-2:30pm

• An afternoon snack is served at 3:30pm.

 

Outdoor play usually occurs for at least 1 hour in the morning and one hour in the afternoon each day.

Short walks to the neighborhood park and library for reading circles are part of our weekly activities.
