Curriculum
We are a play-based, nurturing environment.
The Kinderhaus curriculum combines indoor and outdoor free play with teacher led group activities. Children are exposed to a variety of developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor toys, activities and games, music, movement and art. Activities and projects follow subject themes. Themes usually last 2-4 weeks, depending on depth of theme involved, children’s age and interest, and cover topics such as seasons, animals, siblings and friends, emotions, nature and/or a child’s special need/ interest.
Skills such as manners, table manners, dressing, sharing, communicating and hygiene will be taught through daily routines that are focused on the developmental stages of your child.

Television and videos are not included in the Kinderhaus curriculum and parents are encouraged to limit their children’s television time at home. |
Philosophy
I believe children learn best through play while they discover themselves and their environment. Children learn all the necessary skills, such as problem solving and strategy development for future challenges while playing. Children who are allowed to play, have better concentration, self esteem, self-confidence, motor skills, social skills, co-operation, interest, language development, motivation, curiosity, and listening skills. Our teacher and assistant-led activities will expand the child’s existing knowledge and experience and includes exposure to new themes, games, music, stories, materials, products, and experiences.
